Smiles by Design

Smiles by Design is a cosmetic dentistry practice for discretionary services. As such, a retail feel was preferred for client engagement and comfort, even though the suite resides within a well-known medical facility. The design team used form and craft to for an entertaining sensation, while specifying durable materials able to withstand the rigors of pumice, bleach, and other chemicals of the trade.

The curvilinear form of the human smile became the inspiration for this project. The shapes were created by layering the surface of the walls, and by inserting curved soffits into the ceiling. Bold colors of hue were used to highlight the shapes.
