Harvard University Software

The Software Development Group at Harvard University needed a new conference center in their Gropius-designed Harvard Square complex. The space developed for them not only met an ambitious schedule, but established new standards for improvements within the complex that respected the original building design. The university’s commitment to sustainability was maintained by exposing the original brickwork and concrete coffers as possible and by using carpet tiles to replace the worn broadloom. Lighting efficiency and quality were improved by bringing in new suspended direct/indirect fixtures. More efficient electrical distribution was established by adding a continuous raceway along open work spaces.
